so they give free art classes in the exton mall held by the chester county art association. they provide all the materials ... yes, for free :) this was our first art class together :) our teacher was Justin. very nice guy.

NOW ... i have to explain this night. it was just the teacher ... Justin ... which made bram feel at home ... he was very nice. then there was bram and me ... and then two old ladies, one was blind, she didnt participate. anyway ... so we did our art project ... very low key :) and on the way home bram couldnt stop talking about our teacher and about his excitment for the next class. I AM SO IN LOVE WITH MY HUSBAND!!!!! and love seeing his art ... which i will definately be displaying in our home.

SO. we went to see the rockettes in NY with brams WHOLE family for christmas! and when i was uploading these pictures, they uploaded backwards like usual ... and there were too many to fix it. so ignore that, not that you would even notice!

its all the same to her. see ... as soon as i finish a load of laundry, darby sees the need to plop herself right in the middle of it. she will lay there ... and wont budge as i try to pull the close out from underneath her.

our first time christmas tree shopping ... and doing everything else that goes along with that :)

the lucky winner!

this part of the tree buying process was pretty emotional for me. as im sure everyone knows, they cut a hole in the bottom of the tree for the stand ... i feel like it hurts the tree ya know?? i didnt like that part.

the lucky couple that picked the best tree ... no seriously, this is true. we went to 4 different places ... and finally ... we just knew that this was the one. love at first site, actually it was between this one and another one.

now this was pretty cool ... the tree wrapping. i made bram stand behind the action so it wasnt just strangers in this pic.

next step ... take our new purchase home .... home sweet home. until it completely dies and turns brown and we have to throw it in our dumpster. another sad thing about the life of the christmas tree.

this made bram look sooo hot. i mean come on, what is more attractive then a man holding a tree on one shoulder. now, i know you dont see this happening in the picture. but if i was taking a picture of that instead of quickly running up the stairs to go unlock the door for him ... he might have gotten a little frustrated.

in the spot we created just for her. the tree is a girl. i think we named her but i forget.

after stringing the whole entire tree ... we plugged it in ... and half of the tree lit up. and even though it might SEEM like bram is ok with this in the picture ... he actually wasnt and didnt handle it very well. this process took about an hour.

and while he dealt with the lights ... i played with the tree decorations!!! we got the cutest squirrel ornaments :) maybe ill take a close up of them :)

YAY!!! all the lights are on!!! as soon as bram sat down ... i let him know we were nowhere finished ... but then he said that he will watch me put the decorations up just like i watched him put the lights up ... and then he began to tell me stories about how he would purposely disappear during tree decorating time at his families house ... he told me i could even ask his mom ... then i made a puppy face ... and he smiled a little bit ... and then we completed the decorating together :)

Bram and i have an addiction. the food network. bram is the chef in our household though. i can make lasagna successfully though. but besides that, he is the food artist. anyway. we watch anything that has to do with food. and we love it. crave it.

we were watching this one show called Diners Drives and Dives ... it took you all around the world and stopped at the famous and delicious places for amazing food. so we went to this place that looked like it should be on the show. i think it was recreating the 80's ... those places are always fun.

i dont think it should have been on the show though.

Today the girls that i nanny for ... Bram ... and i went to the barn that he used to work at.

Addy went to pet the horse, and ended up accidentally picking his nose ... considering her hands are smaller than his nostrils!

OH MY GOSH! ill say it again ... he is going to make and amazing dad! ha. i know, everyone should wash their hands before they eat. BUT ... Bram went out of our way to make sure their hands were washed :) I LOVE HIM!

overall it was a super fun day! and now ... Morgan, Addy and I all want a new horse

Parts of us want to be amish ... its true

Bram took me out on a date :) we went to Lancaster to the amish village where you can take a tour ... and litterally walk into a completely different way of living. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! it was actually REALLY awesome ... ive always wanted to know more about their culture ... we were taken thru a house by a tour guide, and the rest of the village we explored ourselves. i learned a lot! :) :) :)

"The Budget" this is the newspaper the amish receive. there are 29,000 amish people that live in lancaster county. the other major states where amish still reside are ohio and indiana (i think) and a little in canada. so what they do is send letters from those areas to one man in another state and he writes up who is sick, how families are doing, habituals, pretty much anything personal to misc. events. oh, and they call us english, if we arent amish, we are english.

amish kitchen. this is the only room of the house that is heated. so the family spends most of their time in here.

just practicing for our little one that wont be here for another 5 years :)

no doors to go into the other bedroom. bram thinks thats gross.

in the barn. bram had the most fun in here.

this is the other kitchen. its in the basement and they cook the hotter foods here because it stays cooler than the upstairs kitchen.

this was my idea. oh, this is the school room. they have 200 amish schools in pennsylvania. and the kids only stay in school for 8 years. thats it. so even the teacher had 8 years of schooling. less than half the amish are farmers, the other are carpenters. so after school they will do one of those things.

ok ... let me explain. i was sitting with brams parents one day ... and i asked them to tell me things about brams childhood. one thing they said was that bram wore footy pajamas until he was practically in his teens. haha. so i was in target yesterday and i found this amazing find. :) i think he loves them.
